Due to low temperatures in tomorrow's forecast, the MS Track Meet has been cancelled and the HS baseball game has been postponed.

All events have been cancelled for this evening. This includes all practices, sporting events, and after school programming.

Middle School dress up day for Thursday, April 11 is favorite sports team shirt. Friday, April 12 is hat day.

Students looking for volunteer hours have many opportunities as spring blossoms. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors need 5 hours.
Seniors need 10 hours.


The Village of Woodhull Public Works Department is accepting resumes/applications for a Summer Worker. Duties would include mowing, general maintenance/clean up of the park and other areas the Village is responsible to upkeep, and assisting the Public Works Department with jobs. Candidates should be able to work starting in May & ending in September with an understanding that the school schedule could change this time line. Candidates should have knowledge on how to operate mowers and have a driver’s license with a clean driving record. Weekly hours would average 30 hours a week. The AlWood Elementary School staff will be serving a delicious supper TONIGHT at the Legion in Alpha. Between 6:00 and 7:30, we will be serving baked potatoes, chili, and desserts.

Middle School Students attended WIU Robotics Competition today. They got to explore the campus, classrooms, and programs the school uses.

Feb 17, AlWood participated in Section 3 Living to Serve Day!
Saturday was comprised of chapters going to different locations for community service. AlWood & Annawan served Closet 2 Closet, in Rock Island. Closet 2 Closet provides clothing care packages to Quad Cities foster children, ages birth through 20. We helped sort hangers and make tie blankets. Following our community service activity, we traveled to The Fun Station, in Eldridge. The kiddos got to hang out with fellow members of section 3.
