Several 4th through 8th grade students performed a Readers Theatre presentation on Thursday, October 24th to an audience of their parents, teachers, and peers. The play, "How Pete the Parrot Broke the Jungle," was written by local author, Tom Akers. Tom has also written many other books and plays.
"How Pete the Parrot Broke the Jungle" is about speaking up when others are being mean. Being an upstander when you see something wrong, and not being a bystander. Students were explained the dangers and consequences of their negative words or actions on social media.
