Mrs. Tschappat's 5th grade class made a "Volume Zoo" as part of their lessons in their Math, Reading, and Science classes.
In Reading class, they had a mini reading unit that focused on reading several articles about conservation efforts to save bees, narwhals, elephants, and snow leopards. Students conducted research on endangered animals about their habitat, prey/predator relationships, cause of endangerment, what we are doing to help, and how many are approximately left in the world.
In Math class, they learned about the volume of rectangular prisms in math class. In Science, students learned about food chains
All of this led to the culminating project of a volume zoo. Great job Mrs. Tschappat's class!
